Application
polyurethane foam is used for installation of window frames and door blocks, filling cavities and cracks including those around pipeline systems and cable routes as well as for sealing joints, sound and heat insulation of building structures.
Recommendations for use: the application temperature of the cylinder should remain within +15…+30°C. Shake the cylinder for at least 1 minute before use. At temperatures above 0°C, slightly moisten dry surfaces. Apply with a gun/applicator into the crevice from the bottom upwards shaking the cylinder from time to time. The thickness of the blown out foam layer should be no more than 3cm. If it is necessary to apply a second layer, wait for the first one to dry (10-30 minutes) and moisten it. Then a second layer can be applied.
Application Tips:
The foam is used under the temperatures from -10 to + 30 ° C and a relative humidity of no less than 60%. To achieve maximum output and optimal foam physical and mechanical properties, store the cylinder at room temperature for at least 24 hours, shake it for no less than 1 minute immediately before use to thoroughly mix the content, and apply the foam onto work surfaces free from dust, dirt, fat, ice and frost dew. At high temperatures, the surface should be moistened immediately before applying the foam. Attach the applicator tube to the valve. The operating position of the cylinder is upside down. Fill in the cracks bottom-up with a layer no thicker than 3 cm. To seal deeper cracks, moisten the first layer, wait for 10-20 minutes and apply one more layer about 3 cm thick. During work, shake the cylinder from time to time. To expedite polymerization, fresh foam can be moistened a bit. Cured foam should be painted or plastered for protection from UV radiation damages.
The foam is not adhesive on plastic film, so before performing any works on the surface that should stay free from foam protect it with a film. Uncured foam can be washed off with a special cleaning liquid while hardened foam can be removed mechanically.
Safety Measures.
Keep away from children. Do not use near flames, hot surfaces or operating electrical equipment. When applying the foam, use personal protective equipment. In case of direct contact with skin or mucous membranes, uncured foam should be removed with a dry clean cloth and thoroughly rinsed with water. Then, seek medical help if necessary. Do not puncture/damage the cylinder even after use.
Storage Conditions:
Store in the original manufacturer's packaging with the valve up under the temperature from + 5 to + 30°C at a distance of at least 1.5 m from heaters and open flame sources, protected from moisture and direct sunlight. Do not heat above +50°C.
Shelf Life: - 18 months from the manufacture date.
